It’s late, so please bear with my descriptions.
(One of her first relationships, and a very unhealthy one at that. Even though she can’t be with him, she stubbornly grasps onto him.)
Carrie & Aiden…..Betty & Gio
(The Guy. She could BE herself with him, even when quarreling. They were making their dreams reality, their sexual chemistry was off the charts, but he wasn’t her idea of “the one”. She used him but he still forgave and loved her.)
And how could we forget:
(capture thanks to
Jack Berger…..Jesse
(The mood-swingy, artistic guy. She had fun with him. As
)
Carrie & Aleksander……Betty & Matt
(The ugly, rich guy she thinks she’ll have a happily ever after with. *cringe* )

and just because:
Carrie & Standford….Betty & Marc
(the funny, gay friend)

BEST part of the show.
Obligatory Gio/Betty fanvid time!! "I Can't Stop this Feeling Anymore" (REO Speedwagon) made by
So, anyway, I find myself trying to concentrate on finishing up my report on scurvy - the only one in my class that chose this topic, haha. Leave it to pirate-and-sailor-loving Nena to pick it. It's getting a bit difficult, seeing as all the music I'm in the mood to listen to today is so singable and danceable. Ah well.
In other news, I had a fangirl attack when I found out Ralph Macchio retweeted the tweet I sent to Michael Urie (which he had also retweeted!!) regarding Ana Ortiz having a baby girl, Paloma. *smile* *fangirl outburst* RALPH MACCHIO!! THE KARATE KID!!!!!!!!!!
Screencaps to come later this week.
On a completely different note, I was really saddened by Michael Jackson's death. It hit me like a ton of bricks those first two days. In honor of the King of Pop, one of my fave MJ and JJ songs:

I guess I'll go to bed and finish seeing August Rush. On a related note, if I ever have 2 boys, the younger will be named Jonathan Rhys. The other day I was thinking of good male names......I really like both - and together? Perfect! Then it dawned on me that I'd be naming my kid after the soccer coach from Bend it Like Beckham......and now that
and I REALLY like this video.......I'm tempted to make my own version for Sam/Gustavo.
Here is a song I love playing - especially this month - Águas de Março sung by Antonio Carlos Jobim (one of the inventors of Bossa Nova) and Elis Regina.
Dayum...I'd forgotten how hot he is.

So, I'm off to Barnes & Noble to meet up with an old childhood friend (I'm actually a little nervous - its been years since we've seen each other and I really don't know what we'll chat about). It shouldn't be that bad, I'm hoping.
And the Oscars are today! I'm watching this year because I love me some Hugh Jackman. I think the occasion calls for Disney-character waffle-making @ Grandma's house :D
PS - I saw Confessions of a Shopaholic yesterday....kinda meh and I could spot Pat Field's work within minutes. :P
My sister tells me the book is still worth the read...so I'll finish it up. (I'm still in Ch1, LOL)
And my parents are angry at me because they say I swear too much - I really don't. I don't think "frak" and "crap" count. Okay, okay....I do say "bitch" when the need arises.
But it's fine...everything will be fine!! If I get this stuff done today - I'll treat myself to Chick-Fil-A tomorrow. :D
PS - like the new Down With Love banner? I think it's cute :) Sorry Bret & Jemaine ;)
You like? I was supposed to be finishing that top-ten list of hot actors but decided to get a new layout & banner instead.
Bret & Jemaine (oh heck!! even Murray!) have stolen my girlish heart :D
And I'm totally loving the new season!!
Stay Cool Bret
Yeah, I know, it's already Tuesday, but I'll still put in the annals.
Saturday I decided to dress up a bit and finally use that purse and those shoes I've been "saving" for weeks now. Might as well, right? It was a good thing I did, actually. We went out to eat and did some shopping....and darn it, my mum was right. When you dress like an adult you get better service. So, I guess less Paul Frank & flip-flops from now on if I want extra goodies at the cosmetics counter at Dillard's : /
Anyway, my best friend Priscilla wanted me to (re)meet some friends of hers from church. They actually turned out to be lots of fun and pretty interesting. So, all 5 of us decided to make it a monthly thing. (We all live way out in the boonies in opposite sides of the city). We ended up chatting it up later than we had planned, missed Confessions of a Shopaholic, and went to the mall instead.
I stayed there a while chilling with her and some cousins/aunts/uncles that were already there while I waited for my fam. My grandma told me she isn't watching Betty La Fea. Apparently, Ana Maria Orozco (who plays Betty) and Jorge Enrique Abello (the Daniel Meade character) were married in real life and she cheated on him. So, grandma is boycotting the show. :D I'm sure that hers will stick - I ended my Ugly Betty boycott after 3 eps, I think.
My sister wanted to go to Macy's and purchase an outfit she wore at her youth group's "fashion show" so I ended up at the mall again. I dragged my dad with me to The Greenery and FINALLY bought a bottle of Chateau Montelena chardonnay! It was a bit expensive but I'm looking forward to watching Bottle Shock this upcoming weekend and having some.
Sunday I spent most of the doing laundry, stuffing my storage boxes, and made a big heart cookie all while watching Daytona w/my dad & listening to my iPod. I guess I was so thilled seeing Keith Urban perform early in the day that I didn't really mind it for all the hours that followed.
Come on, boys, the way you're lollygagging around here with them picks 'n' shovels, you'd think it was a hundred and twenty degrees. Why, it can't be more than a hundred and fourteen!
Ah, just like summers here in EP :)
However, I went to work (not that bad...just people that annoyed me and I couldn't watch my online class) and when I finally got home ready to unwind.....I realized I didn't have my house keys. >:( :'( My fam was out and about but time went by fast because Foxy kept me company for a good 1 1/2 hours (we are texting champs!! :D ).
I know I didn't do anything strenuous.....but man am I tired. And tomorrow is my presentation. Oh joy.
